Meeting venue

The meeting will take place in the amphitheater Blandin of the Laboratoire de Physique des Solides (LPS). The laboratory is located on the Orsay campus of the Paris-Sud University, about 25 km southwest of Paris. It occupies a large, cross-shaped building (bâtiment 510) in the northern part of the campus (the Moulon plateau).

By plane:

From the airport, either Charles de Gaulle (CDG) or Orly, you can reach the LPS:

  • By cab (taxi). The fare is about 100 € from CDG and 50 € from Orly.
  • By public transportation (13.5 € from CDG and 11.5 € from Orly).

By car:

Follow the N118 motorway. Take exit 9 (Centre Universitaire) and follow Orsay Université and Gendarmerie to rue Nicolas Appert.

On foot:

From the Le Guichet RER station, follow rue de Versailles, rue de la Colline and chemin du Bois des Rames (green path on the map below). This is an about 15-minutes walk, with an 80-meter climb!

Local bus lines:

The LPS can be reached via the local lines 7 and 9 (see the map below).
